If you have acute psychological problems, you can get help from local adult psychiatric emergency services, which have a clinic in each municipality or city district. These local emergency services are often open until 22:00 hours.
If you’re under 18, you can go to one of BUP’s outpatient clinics during the daytime.
If you’re under 18, you should contact the Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Service (BUP). If you are 18 years or older, you should contact the adult psychiatry centre. There is a clinic in every municipality and city district. You can book an appointment at the clinic yourself or get there with the help of a referral.
In some parts of the county and the country, there are also youth clinics for people aged 16 and over. These clinics are run jointly by child and adolescent psychiatry and adult psychiatry.
For minor psychological problems, such as sleeping difficulties, anxiety, mild depression, or reactions to grief, you should first contact your health centre for help. If necessary, your family doctor can refer you to a psychologist, a psychosocial team at the health centre or an outpatient psychiatric service.

Freezonen is aimed at victims of violence. You are welcome to seek support regardless of your gender identity, age or the type of offence you have been subjected to. Freezonen offers a support chat that is open on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 19-21.
Want to talk to a fellow human being? Call the SOS telephone number 0771-800 650 every day of the year or write to the SOS mailbox. The responders are volunteers who are trained to provide emotional support in difficult situations. You can remain anonymous. For those aged between 12 and 25, there is also Nätvandrarchatten (Online Wanderer Chat), three nights a week.
