Acceptance
Acceptance means seeing, recognizing and acknowledging your reality for what it is. You allow thoughts, feelings and circumstances to be what they are and don’t try to avoid, deny or excuse them.

Accepting your situation means acknowledging what is, even if it’s difficult or painful. This doesn’t mean that you have to like the way things are, but that you accept the way they are for now and do your best given the circumstances.
Acceptance together with self-compassion means acknowledging things as they are with kindness and care towards yourself, and then considering what could help you look after yourself.
